Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do you sell your pottery online?
I no longer maintain an Etsy shop or online store, as my pieces often sell out quickly at markets. Instead, I post photos of my creations on social media, and if you see something you love, you’re welcome to request a custom piece!
2. How do I request a custom order?
You can contact me via [email, DM on Instagram, or contact form link]. Let me know what piece you’re interested in, along with any preferences (glaze, size, style), and I’ll work with you to create something special.
3. How long does it take to complete a custom order?
Custom orders typically take 4-6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design and my current workload. I’ll keep you updated throughout the process!
4. Can I choose any glaze or style?
Yes! You can request any glaze or style I’ve used before. Feel free to reference photos from my posts or past work when reaching out.
5. How much do custom pieces cost?
Pricing varies depending on the size and complexity of the piece. I’m happy to provide an estimate after we discuss your ideas.
6. Where can I find your pottery in person?
You can find me at various local markets. Check the Markets & Events page for upcoming dates and locations!
7. Do you ship custom orders?
Yes, I ship within the U.S.! Shipping costs will be calculated and added to your total.
8. Can I see your past work?
Absolutely! Browse my Instagram feed or website gallery for examples of past designs.
9. Do you teach pottery lessons?
Not quite yet, but stay tuned! I’m currently in the process of upgrading my home studio to make it lesson-ready. My goal is to offer one-on-one pottery lessons in the near future, where I can share my love for clay and all things handmade. Keep an eye on my Instagram and website for updates—exciting things are coming soon!
10. Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Due to the handmade nature of my pottery, all sales are final. However, if there’s an issue with your order, please reach out, and I’ll do my best to make it right!
11. Can I pick up my order in person?
Absolutely! Local pickup is available. Just let me know when placing your order, and we’ll coordinate a time.
12. What happens if my order arrives damaged?
I take great care in packaging, but sometimes accidents happen. If your order arrives damaged, please reach out within 3 days with photos, and I’ll make it right!
13. What types of clay and glazes do you use?
I use clay sourced from Kentucky (which is one of the few commercial clays on the market that has a water absorption rate below 1%) and food-safe, lead-free glazes. All my pieces are oven, microwave, and top rack dishwasher safe unless otherwise noted.
14. How can I care for my pottery?
Most pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe, but handwashing is always gentler. Avoid sudden temperature changes (e.g., straight from the fridge to the oven). Treat them with love—they’re handmade!
14. Do you ever make mugs without handles?
Only if I forget. (Kidding... mostly.)
